BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — West Virginia Wesleyan men’s soccer defender Charlie Naylor was named Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
The Oxted, England native collected the award for the first time in his career.
Naylor’s recognition comes on the back of an impressive week manning the Bobcat backline. Naylor was an integral part of the clean sheet against Frostburg State last Wednesday.
The senior defender then scored the equalizing goal against Notre Dame (Ohio) on Sunday to bring the Bobcats back from a 2-0 deficit.
Naylor and the ‘Cats are back in action today (Oct. 13) at Culpepper Stadium against Alderson Broaddus.
