WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is pleased to welcome Karla J. Tucker, BSN, RN, CCRN as their new Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing for the hospital.
Tucker was most recently the Director of Nursing Resources at WVUM United Hospital Center in Bridgeport where she was responsible for planning, directing and monitoring staff to achieve optimal patient care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University and her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Administration from Fairmont State College.
She has received numerous awards including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Legendary Leadership Award and the WVUM UHC Reward and Recognition Award. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the West Virginia Nurses Association. She will be an integral part of the WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital leadership team.
