CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Tuesday reminded the public that the next quarterly meeting of the Natural Resources Commission will be Thursday, July 30, at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be held simultaneously in each of the WVDNR’s six districts, where the local commissioner and WVDNR staff will be present to gather public input. For those unable to attend in person, a view-only livestream will be available. Those who want to address the commission must attend one of the following in-person locations:
- District 1 — 1110 Railroad St., Farmington, WV 26571
- District 2 — 1 Depot St., Romney, WV 26757
- District 3 — Elkins Operation Center, 738 Ward Road, Elkins, WV 26241
- District 4 — 2006 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV 25801
- District 5 — WVDNR Headquarters, 112 California Ave., Charleston, WV 25305
- District 6 — 76 Conservation Way, Parkersburg, WV 26104

- Review, correct and approve the minutes of the April 30, 2026, meeting of the Natural Resources Commission
- Public comments
- Review and approve by vote 2027-2028 Small Game and Furbearer Hunting and Trapping Regulations
- Review and approve by vote 2027 Fishing Regulations
- Approve by vote clarifying the legal use of single-shot muzzleloader shotguns for wild turkey during Mountaineer Heritage Season in Logan, McDowell, Mingo and Wyoming counties

- Update on the Wildlife Disease Reporting System
- Discussion of the 2026 fourth quarterly meeting of the Natural Resources Commission

The NRC serves as an advisory body to the WVDNR on issues related to conserving the state’s natural resources and protecting fish and game species, which includes establishing hunting and fishing regulations, season dates and limits.
