Wesleyan Brassfest to present two free concerts in Buckhannon on January 21

BUCKHANNON — Music enthusiasts are in for a treat as the Wesleyan Brassfest is set to take the stage on Sunday, January 21, at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts in Buckhannon.

The festival will offer two concerts at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. These events are open to the public and free of charge. Anyone who would like to participate in Brassfest can register online; the fee is $45 and includes entrance to the event, a masterclass and routable discussion, music and dinner.

This year’s edition features the Old Bay Brass Quintet from Baltimore, Md. Old Bay Brass is a brass collective formed of musicians from all over the country who met at the Peabody Conservatory. The members of OBB have performed with many professional ensembles, including the Maryland Choral Society, Detroit Chamber Winds, the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Waco Symphony Orchestra, and Pueblo Symphony in Colorado.
