BUCKHANNON — The Upshur Parish House has announced the promotion of Charllotte Costa to assistant director, effective June 1, 2026.
Costa has served in the Parish House office during a time of growth and change for the organization. Over the past several months, she has taken on additional responsibilities and has played an important role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.
In her new role, Costa will continue managing office operations while helping oversee many of the Parish House’s programs and services. Her work will include coordinating volunteers, supporting pantry and Crosslines operations and assisting with seasonal programs and special events.
“I am passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive,” Costa said. “In my short time at the Upshur Parish House, I have found not only meaningful work, but a team that truly cares about our neighbors and one another. I am especially grateful for the opportunity the Parish House has given me to grow into this position. This role has given me a renewed sense of purpose, and I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve our community. I am excited to help our neighbors, build community partnerships, and help advance the mission of the Upshur Parish House.”
“Charllotte has shown a real commitment to the work we do and to the neighbors we serve,” said Isaac Casto, executive director of Upshur Parish House. “Her dedication to our community and the gifts she brings to this work have been such a blessing to the Parish House. I’m really excited to see her step into this role.”
