Three new police officers graduate, ready to serve and protect Buckhannon community

BUCKHANNON – Monday marked a significant milestone for the City of Buckhannon as three new police officers graduated from the West Virginia State Police Academy. Chief Matt Gregory, Lieutenant Doug Loudin and Mayor Robbie Skinner attended the ceremony just west of Charleston to celebrate the officers’ achievements.

Officers Jonathan Warner, Dylan Major and Wade Loudin completed their rigorous training at the academy and will now become full members of the Buckhannon Police Department. The three offices were hired in 2022 and trained in the community until the academy began in January.

The officers expressed their excitement about becoming an integral part of the community and working to ensure the safety and protection of its citizens, business owners and visitors alike.
