BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, cross country course, volleyball court or golf course.
Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of Sept. 9 – Sept. 15 are Jimmie Green and Haley Triplett.
Green is a sophomore on the Buccaneer soccer team. In a 1-1 week for the Bucs, Green had a goal in each game, a 6-5 loss to North Marion and a 5-0 win over Lincoln.
Triplett is a junior on the Lady Buc soccer team. Triplett had the game-winning goal for B-U in the 70th minute in a 4-3 victory over the Lincoln Cougars. Earlier in the week against North Marion, she added two goals and one assist in a 7-0 win over North Marion.
Congratulations to Green and Triplett as our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
