DNR’s Hunter Education program teaches middle-schoolers vital outdoorsmanship skills
A Hunter Education Program, presented by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources volunteers and Natural Resources Police Officers, wrapped up on Friday at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School. Approximately 35 students completed the course, which is a requirement for West Virginia residents age 15 and older who wish to obtain a hunting license. Kit Tressler, pictured above, is one of the volunteers who helped teach these sessions at B-UMS – the first classes offered there for students in quite a few years.
