Saint-Gobain announces two job openings at Corhart Refractories in Buckhannon

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, a global leader in specialized glass contact refractories, recently announced two open positions at its Corhart manufacturing facility: Production Associate and Production Supervisor. Both roles offer the opportunity to join a world-class team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Production Associate

Ideal for candidates seeking hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, this position involves operating and maintaining equipment to produce high-quality products. Associates will also be responsible for:

  • Following strict safety protocols and procedures
  • Performing machine operations based on detailed instructions and blueprints
  • Upholding a clean, organized workspace
  • Providing coverage in various departments as needed once certified
  • Participating actively in a team-focused culture

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. Experience in manufacturing or forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory.

Production Supervisor

Reporting to the IPT Manager, this leadership role oversees performance in safety, quality and productivity. The supervisor is expected to:

  • Lead by example in a high-performance, team-based setting
  • Coach and mentor hourly associates to meet safety and production targets
  • Assist in the administration of collective bargaining agreements and personnel matters
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers on maintenance, preventive measures and problem-solving

Qualifications include experience guiding teams in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a unionized environment, and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or World Class Manufacturing (WCM). A technical degree or related experience is highly valued.
