The Ellamore Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a Spring Craft & Vendor Show this weekend along with a raffle, concessions and the opportunity to hop on down the Bunny Trail and visit with the Easter Bunny. The show will be at the EVFD, located at 9797 Old Elkins Road in Ellamore and will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 28, 2021 from noon to 5 p.m.

ELLAMORE – What better way to beat those winter blues than ‘springing out’ of your house and making the short trek to Ellamore this weekend to celebrate the Spring Craft & Vendor Show with the Ellamore Volunteer Fire Department?

The event will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 28, 2021 from noon to 5 p.m. The Ellamore Volunteer Fire Department is located at 9797 Old Elkins Road in Ellamore.

Kim Loudin, Ellamore Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary member who assists with fundraising, said the event is the first Spring Sale they are hosting but said they had a successful Christmas Craft Sale last year following Thanksgiving.

“This is our second craft show,” Loudin said. “We did well, so we decided to follow up and have a Spring Sale as well.”

She said this weekend sale will host 25 crafters and vendors.

“Along with the Craft & Vendor Sale, we have an item that each crafter/vendor donated,” Loudin explained. “We will sell raffle tickets and folks will be eligible to win those prizes.”

There will also be concessions available during the event, including sausage gravy and biscuits, chicken tenders, hot dogs, French fries, nachos and cheese and beverages. Loudin said the crafters/vendors will be offering tons of different items including laser cutout signs, handmade jewelry, homemade jams, jellies and salsa and even farmhouse décor.

Another reason to stop by and support the Ellamore Volunteer Fire Department and attend the event this weekend is because of a special visitor they will be hosting.

“The Easter Bunny will be here to visit with the kids and be available for photos,” Loudin said. “He will be there on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.”

There is even a backdrop for photos with the Easter Bunny featuring spring flowers, Easter Eggs and a bunny trail.

“We hope folks will come out and have fun and support us,” Loudin said.

Additional information about the Ellamore Volunteer Fire Department is available on their Facebook page or by calling 304-472-2655.

Those attending the event will be asked to wear face covering.
