Perry Poddey, 61, of Belington, W.Va., died Monday, October 25, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society of Barbour County.
He was born May 17, 1960, in Calif., a son of the late Edgar Herbert Poddey and June Champion Waugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Justin Eric Poddey; one brother, Rick Poddey and one sister Yvonne Legg.
Surviving are one son, David Tingler of GA; one daughter, Brittney Prince of Morgantown, WV; three brothers, Mike Poddey of Charleston, WV, Steven Thomas of Belington and Poncho Poddey Buckhannon, WV; two sisters, Julie Ball and husband Billy Mooresville, NC and Michelle Roberts of New Bern, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Perry was a Coal Miner and Christian by faith.
Friends will be received Monday, November 01, 2021, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 3 PM Monday in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon with Pastor Josh Layfield officiating.
