No one injured in most recent Route 33-Kesling Mill intersection wreck

BUCKHANNON – No one was injured in a two-vehicle wreck that happened at the intersection of Kesling Mill Road and Route 33 East early Thursday evening.

According to the accident report filed by Cpl. Rodney Rolenson with the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department, at 5:12 p.m., a silver car being driven by Makenzie Tenney, 19, of Buckhannon, was traveling south across U.S. Route 33.

Tenney reportedly failed to see a 2008 white Chevrolet Duramax pick-up truck being driven by 69-year-old Charles Judy, of Belington, which was eastbound on Route 33.

Tenney’s vehicle struck the pick-up truck in the side, and both vehicles were damaged in the collision; however, no one was injured in the wreck. A woman, 61-year-old Peggy Judy, was a passenger in the white truck.

The driver of this Chevy pick-up truck was eastbound on U.S. Route 33 when his vehicle was struck in the side early Thursday evening.

In her statement to police, Tenney said she was unable to see Judy’s vehicle “until [she] was going straight into him.”

Rolenson did not issue any citations but noted Tenney had failed to yield.
