Weston, W.Va. – The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that pulmonologist Roger A. Abrahams, MD, FCCP will be appearing at Pulmonary Rehabilitation Day on Thursday, March 3. He will be making remarks at noon.

The educational health fair will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on the ground floor at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. “Moving more, breathing better” is the national theme for Pulmonary Rehab month in March – one of the goals for the fair.

Dr. Abraham brings many years of experience to this vital specialty with a large resume of teaching experience, clinical research, and both private practice and work in the Mon Health System.

“Patients in smaller communities like Weston are so kind and appreciative to receive quality care that it makes my job more fulfilling,” said Dr. Abraham. “One of my first patients here commented that no one had ever explained their illness or medications to them before like I did.  Their gratitude made my trip to Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital worth it.”

Dr. Abrahams brings a wealth of experience to Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital as he has been serving the community as a Pulmonologist at Mon Health Medical Center for more than 30 years. Dr. Abrahams also is a clinical associate professor of medicine at West Virginia University.

As well as information about pulmonary rehab, there will be free screenings for weight/height/BMI, blood pressure, and pulse ox. There will also be a depression screening, AED training, a Lewis County Heart Display, eye care, and information on tobacco and vaping, nutrition, CORE, the Family Resource Network, and adult fitness.
