Mike Ashley wins camera club’s ‘stained glass’ competition

Thirty-two Buckhannon-Upshur Camera Club members and guests attended the recent holiday celebration. A delicious meal with a multitude of desserts highlighted the evening along with a visit from the Jolly Old Elf himself.

A competition among the members took place with photo entries along the topic of “stained glass.”

Mike Ashley’s entry of the stained glass window from Buckhannon’s Holy Rosary Catholic Church garnered the most votes.

The club meets each month on the fourth Thursday at the Upshur Senior Center.  The first meeting of 2020 will be January 23 at 6:30 p.m. Guest speakers will be Wayne Worth and Jonnaston Kimble of “On the Road in WV: Our 55 Counties” fame.  New members welcomed!
