Martinsburg man arrested on arson charges for a transformer fire

Travis Thomas Gue of Martinsburg was arrested on third-degree arson charges after allegedly setting fire to a Potomac Energy transformer and faces additional charges for fleeing, disorderly conduct, and obstructing an officer.

A Berkeley County man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to a Potomac Energy transformer earlier this month.

Travis Thomas Gue, 45-years-old, of Martinsburg, was arrested May 18 on third-degree arson charges for the fire that happened at a ground-mounted transformer located in the Crestview Drive area of Martinsburg. That fire occurred on May 1.

Gue is also being charged with fleeing on foot, disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer after Gue attempted to flee on foot while being arrested yesterday by Berkeley County Sheriff deputies.

Gue is currently at the Eastern Regional Jail on a $30,000 surety/property bond.
