Marsha Jean Koon

Marsha Jean Koon, age 72, of French Creek, W.Va., died Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at her home. She was born July 9, 1947 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Dale and Olive  Britton.

On May 27, 1979, she married Claud Koon who survives of French Creek. Also surviving are three sons, Dale Young and wife Anny of Dallas, Texas, Ron Young and wife Becky of Buckhannon, W.Va. and John Young and wife Laurie of French Creek; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Sandi Kluzniak and husband Wiktor of Santa Cruz, California; three half-brothers, Bob Henderson and wife Marybeth and Dennis Henderson all of Santa Cruz and Daryl Henderson of South Lake Tahoe, California; one uncle, Denzil Stanley of Arizona; many cherished cousins of Ohio; three special nieces, Tina and April Noling and Tammy Keener and a special nephew, Alan Dulaney.

Mrs. Koon was a homemaker and enjoyed time on the river, her camp, traveling and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She was the life of every party.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to WV Hospice for their great care and compassion while taking care of Marsha.

Friends will be received Friday, June 12, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held  10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery in Queens, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
