Marjorie J. Butcher

Marjorie J. Butcher, age 94, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, October 19, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

She was born in Buckhannon on September 1, 1930, a daughter of the late Forrest Earl and Myrtle Vetina Harris Morrison. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Glenn Butcher on October 12, 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter Linda J. Lamb.

She is survived by two daughters: Debra Joan Butcher and Pamela Jean Butcher, both of Buckhannon; one son Randall Glenn Butcher and wife Zahra of Levittown, PA; three grandchildren: Brian Lamb, Bridgett Lamb, and Alayna Renee Butcher; one great-granddaughter Brittany; and one sister Phyllis Jean Stewart of Levittown.

Mrs. Butcher was a member of the Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel from 5-7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The funeral will be held at the funeral chapel at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2024, with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery.
