Lacrosse Lady Bucs win third straight after defeating George Washington, 5-3

CHARLESTON – In a low scoring affair, the Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc lacrosse team earned a hard-fought 5-3 road decision over George Washington Tuesday night.

It was the third win in a row for the Lady Bucs as they improved their mark to 3-2.

Freshman Mallory Moss continued to lead B-U attack with three of the five goals while Kendall Defibaugh and Maya Garcia each had one.

Freshman Chloe Bennett paced the team in ground balls with 20 while Kaylee Black had five as the team totaled 40.

The Lady Bucs owned a 36-19 lead in shots-on-goal.

Buckhannon-Upshur keeper Haylea Crihfield made 18 saves while George Washington goalie Ava Dean made 11 stops.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action Thursday when they host Morgantown at 7:30 p.m.
