How to become a member

If you like My Buckhannon, we really hope you’ll support the site by becoming a premium member. We’re 100 percent locally owned and operated, so every membership goes directly to helping us better serve the Upshur County community.

We’ve tried to pack premium memberships with tons of value: you get full access to every story on My Buckhannon, unlimited access to our great photo galleries (including the high resolution files), free shipping on orders from our store and the warm feeling of knowing you’re supporting a local business.

Ready to join but not sure how? It’s easy. Just follow these simple steps.

  • From the main menu (the three stacked lines on the mobile site) click Become a Member
The main menu button is at the top left of the mobile site.
Then click Become a Member.
On a desktop or tablet, click become a member at the right of the main menu bar.
  • Next, decide if you would like to become a monthly member ($10/month with a one-month free trial) or an annual member ($89.99 a year, a 25 percent discount over the monthly price), then click Join Now.

  • Fill out your Billing Details
Make sure to fill out all the fields with your billing information
  • You can see all the details of the membership you selected, including when it will renew.

  • Finally, enter your credit card information. Our payments are handled securely by Stripe, an international payments processor that works with millions of businesses. You’ve probably heard of some of them, like Target, Pinterest, Under Armour and Blue Apron.
Enter your credit card number and hit Join Now.
  • Then hit Join Now. Congratulations, you’re now a member of My Buckhannon!

Great! So now what? How do you take advantage of all the great benefits that come along with your premium membership? All you need to do is log in with your email address and password, which was emailed to you when you joined.

  • After entering your payment information, you should have received a few emails: one with your order details, and one with the username and password for your fancy new My Buckhannon account.
After paying for your membership, you should receive an email like this one, with your username (email address) and password.
  • Once you have that information, you can log in to your account. Simply hit the Sign In button on the main menu.
Sign in to your My Buckhannon account.
  • Now enter your email address and the password that was emailed to you. If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it with the link on the sign in form.

  • Check Remember Me and you won’t have to enter your password every time you use the site.

That’s it! You should now be logged in and able to enjoy all the perks of premium membership. If you have any questions, just Contact Us.
