Highland Landscaping wins third-quarter title in men’s golf

Highland Landscaping won the third-quarter title in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League, scoring 113 points to edge Custom Cabinets (109½) and High Point Construction (109).

TENNERTON – Highland Landscaping held on to win the third-quarter title in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League this past Wednesday.

Highland Landscaping defeated second place High Point Construction by a 21 ½-18 ½ score.

Highland Landscaping won the third-quarter title with 113 points while High Point Construction dropped to third with 109 points.

That’s because Custom Cabinets leapfrogged them into second place with 109 ½ points after a 20 ½-19 1/2 win over Feola’s Flowers.

Sam’s Pizza finished in fourth place in the third quarter with 99 ½ points following a 20 ½-19 ½ win over First Community Bank, who placed fifth with 99 points.

In the other match of the week, Hank Ellis Insurance downed Lisa Cain Edward Jones by a 20 ½-19 ½ score.

Mike Tenney of High Point Construction and Chris Brady of First Community Bank tied for Low Actual honors with identical 36s while Kyle Lane of Highland Landscaping won Low Net honors with a 30.
