Golf Bucs finish second out of three teams in Buckhannon Toyota Open

WESTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur golf Buccaneers finished second out of three teams in the Buckhannon Toyota Open last week at the Stonewall Resort.

The Bucs, as a team, carded a 389. University won the event with a 372 while Lincoln was a distant third with a 458.

Daniel Carbo of University won low medalist honors with a 77 while Buckhannon-Upshur’s Easton Perkins and University’s Will Biddington tied for runner-up honors with 91s.

Following Perkins in the scoring column for the Bucs were Jevon Westfall with a 100, Jerin Westfall with a 103, Jaden Westfall with a 104 and Drahden Rice with a 119.

The action left the Bucs with a 3-4 record.

The golf Bucs will be back in action Aug. 15 at the Apple Valley Course in White Hall with East Fairmont.
