BUCKHANNON, WV – The Colonial Arts Center will host another evening of live Appalachian music with Bluegrass Night on Thursday, June 5, from 7-9 p.m., featuring central West Virginia’s own Gauley Divide String Band.

Known for putting a modern twist on traditional acoustic music, Gauley Divide String Band blends bluegrass, folk, Americana, gospel and more into a sound rooted in Appalachian tradition while embracing a wide range of musical influences. Audiences can expect a lively mix of familiar favorites and fresh interpretations.

Due to the overwhelming success of previous Bluegrass Nights, tickets will be sold for this event at a cost of $5. Earlier events were offered free of charge, but event organizer Bryce O’Loughlin notes that introducing a cover charge was always part of the long-term plan if the series proved successful.

“Bluegrass Night has developed an incredible following, and we’re excited to see such strong community support for live acoustic music,” O’Loughlin said. “The new cover charge will help sustain the series while continuing to bring talented performers to CAC.”
