Mission Appalachia closes out its Smithfield Street house rebuild with a free community cookout at Jawbone Park on Labor Day, and one entrant will receive the keys to the house live at the event.
The day includes food, music, activities and door prizes. Organizers are asking local businesses, organizations and individuals to help underwrite the celebration through sponsorships ranging from $25 to $1,000, or by donating a gift card, product, service or experience for the door prizes.
