The Beverly Heritage Center opens Appalachian Craftsmanship: Where Contemporary Meets Heritage, a new exhibit pairing contemporary makers with the traditional crafts they carry forward — pottery, weaving, glass and instrument building among them.
The opening reception runs from 3 to 5 p.m. and includes artist talks and light refreshments. The Augusta Heritage Center and Davis Trust Company are listed as partners on the exhibit.
A free outdoor concert, Live on the Lawn with Fair Play, follows at 5:30 p.m. at the same address.
