Eric Nolan Cedric Manley

Eric Nolan Cedric Manley, 76, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Friday, July 5, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, W.Va.

He was born June 28, 1943 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Roscoe and Ellinor D. Kasten Manley.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Waugaman Manley of Buckhannon; two sons, Travis Manley and wife Tina of Blounts Creek, N.C. and Jason Manley of Buckhannon; two daughters, Jessica Manley-Reed and husband David and Erin Kelley and husband Mark all of Buckhannon; six grandsons, Alex Kelley, Riley and Preston Reed all of Buckhannon and Tanner, Trapper and Tucker Manley all of Blounts Creek; two granddaughters, Haley Kelley of Buckhannon and Tanzy Manley of Blounts Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ivan D. Manley and four sisters, Glenna Wilfong, Retha Lewis, Olga Wagoner and Rowena Cutright.

Mr. Manley served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Food For The Journey and he opened each session with a prayer that was filled with love and compassion he felt for each person. Mr. Manley worked for W.Va. Central Aging for a few years after he retired from Corhart Refractories. He was a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church.

Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors at the gravesite.
