Denver Junior Carpenter, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He was born January 27, 1945, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Denver Earl and Velma Lynch Carpenter.
On January 19, 1984, he married Brenda Brooks who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Cathy Carpenter of Fairmont, WV, Ginger Carpenter of Morgantown, WV, and Barbara Carpenter of FL; one stepson, Bryan Brooks of FL; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five nieces; three nephews and close friends, Jim & Gene Gifford and Ron & Lanora Gifford all of Buckhannon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr. Carpenter worked for the State Road and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon. He was formerly a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge and Eagles.
He enjoyed going to auctions, collecting guns and knives, and being outdoors.
In honoring Mr. Carpenter’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
