BUCKHANNON — Notice is hereby given that the Fire Civil Service Commission of the City of Buckhannon is accepting applications for competitive examination to create a “List of Eligibles” for the position of probationary firefighter in the Fire Department of the City of Buckhannon.
Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and comply with §8-15-17 the W. Va. Code.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Applicants must be West Virginia-approved Firefighter 1, IFSAC, or Pro Board Certified. A copy of the certification must be submitted with the application. All applications must be received by the Commission no later than March 22, 2024, at City Hall or postmarked by midnight, addressed to the following:
