Custom Cabinets takes second-quarter title in Men’s Golf League

TENNERTON – Custom Cabinets suffered a 16 ½-15 setback to First Community Bank Wednesday evening but still held on to take the second-quarter title in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.

Custom Cabinets easily won the title with 97 ½ points.

UniFirst Corporation, who suffered a 18 ½-15 loss to Lisa Cain Edward Jones, finished in a distant second place with 90 points.

Baker Tilly dropped an 18-17 ½ decision to High Point Construction to land in third place with 86 ½ points while High Point Construction placed fourth with 84 ½ points.

In the other two matches of the week, first-quarter winner Hank Ellis Insurance downed Sam’s Pizza by a 19-14 score to finish fifth and Feola’s Flowers tied Highland Landscaping by a 17-17 count to finish in sixth place.

Steve Jeran of Hank Ellis Insurance earned both Low Actual honors with a 35 and Low Net honors with a 30.
