City: Natural gas odor in downtown Buckhannon Friday due to line maintenance

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – This is a Public Service Announcement from the City of Buckhannon.

Mountaineer Gas is servicing lines in the Buckhannon area causing natural gas odors to occur. If you smell natural gas odors in your outdoor area, do not be alarmed. There is no danger associated with the servicing of these lines, nor these odors.

The odors will dissipate soon. Of course, if you believe there is a natural gas leak at or in your building, call 911.
