Buckhannon Academy Elementary School receives 400 backpacks through Toyota’s Big Summer Giveback Event

Buckhannon Academy Elementary School is proud to announce that Buckhannon Toyota has chosen our students to be the recipient in their Big Summer Giveback Event.

Buckhannon Toyota is collaborating with the Kids In Need Foundation for the third-annual Big Summer Giveback program and is graciously funding 400 backpacks to be given to the students of Buckhannon Academy Elementary. Any student enrolled in Buckhannon Academy Elementary School can receive a backpack of school supplies free.

Backpacks will be available at Buckhannon Academy Elementary School’s open house, August 13, 2024, from 4pm – 6pm, and will be distributed by school staff, therapy dog Foster, representatives from Kids In Need, and representatives from Buckhannon Toyota.

Toyota’s collaboration with Kids in Need for the Big Summer Giveback Event involves 620 participating Toyota dealerships nationwide. Over the past three years, this partnership has generated cumulative donations exceeding $3.75 million, supporting over 140,000 students through Toyota’s Big Summer Giveback.

This year, 60,000 students across the country will receive new backpacks filled with essential school supplies through the program. 47 Toyota dealerships have committed $10,000 donations each to support local under-resourced schools.
