Ronald J. Alderman

Ronald J. Alderman, age 67, of French Creek, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at his home.

He was born December 4, 1957, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late James Everett and Helen Louise Hawkins Alderman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Virgil Alderman.

He was united in marriage on June 30, 1979, to Brenda Lea Hyre Alderman, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Ronald J. Alderman, II (RJ) and wife Rosetta, and Bryan Everett Alderman and wife Misty, all of French Creek; six grandchildren: Hunter, Kendra, Tyler, Zackary, Timber and Sawyer; and one great granddaughter, Delilah.

Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Irene Elmer Hyre; brothers- and sisters-in-law Mike Hyre and girlfriend Danielle Wood of Elkins, Sandy Fealy and husband Joe of Ellamore, and Cheryl Howes and husband Kevin of French Creek; several nieces and nephews.

Ronnie attended the Bethlehem Community Church, was an avid gardener and enjoyed staying busy outdoors. He loved to walk and spend time with his sons, his grandchildren and his cat, Katie.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
